Fellow Conservatives, don't you think we need to focus like a laser beam on economics issues?

I couldn't agree with you more, my fellow conservative. We need to get away from this 'moral majority' crap already. The religious right has had way too much influence on the Republican party. And it's blown up in our faces with all the Republicans who can't seem to keep their zipper up. I am not a bible thumper at all, although I am not an atheist either. Republicans need to stop worrying about what 2 consenting adults do behind closed doors and focus on the economy, like you said. I too am pro life, but I don't believe in making abortion illegal either. Both of my children had an amniocentesis done when my wife was pregnant with them, since she was over 35. Had it shown that they had chromosomal abnormalities, we would have chosen abortion, as cruel as that may sound to some. Abortion also needs to be available in cases where the mother's life is in danger, or the fetus is the result of or . Abortion is something that is a very, very personal choice that should be allowed to be made after much reflection and careful consideration. And I believe that 'accidental', unwanted pregnancies should consider adoption before abortion. But making it illegal won't stop it, just like making drugs illegal hasn't stopped them either.
