Does anyone know where I could find a good website or article, etc on the historical changes after the...?

...After the Victorian Age. I have been reading a great series set in London in the late 1800's and I'm such a big dork when it comes to wanting to know everything about the times before I was born. I'm just so astounded at how much the world has changed. I'd really like to know when the world started changing (I am watching a movie set in 1908 and after just a few decades things seemed to have changed so much), such as back then it was improper for a lady to walk anywhere alone. Also, you weren't allowed to be affectionate with a boy before he proposed to marry you...etc, etc, etc. I'm just so interested in that kind of thing and I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone could point me in the direction of a good article or website or anything that I can read/watch/listen to online for free about how and when those sort of changes happened.
