Is it tacky to have CD shelves in the living room?

I'm 30 years old. I finally have a nice place with my girlfriend. Hardwood floors, frechly pained walls, in a home that was built in 1920. Lots of windows and a fireplace. We have a home theater and a High Def tv. Is it tacky to have DVDs and CDs on a shelf on one of the walls?
