WINDOWS CRASHING... repeated memory dumps!?

I imagine that hibernation has come a long way from the early days when it totally trashed the contents of memory and/or the program counter and almost without exception required a reboot. Still, if you experience this problem when coming out of hibernation, my guess would be they still haven't worked out all the bugs. Then there's the more obvious problem: your OS. Microsoft keeps adding bells and whistles and making stuff that used to be easy to find harder and what used to be harder to find nearly impossible. If they devoted even a fraction of that effort to making Windows (gasp!) ROBUST, imagine the potential reward, especially if they hire some computer scientists to do the job. But then, computer scientists tend to gravitate AWAY from Windows.
