I need a research topic that involves Hugo Chavez and human rights in Venezuela, please help!?

Hey everyone! I have to do a term paper for my human rights course, and I decided that I would do a term paper about Hugo Chavez and the deteriorating civil and political rights in Venezuela. However, I need more than just the impact of Chavez's policies on civil and political rights. As my professor described it, there has to be a relationship, or the "so what?" aspect. I need to write 20 pages for this research paper. I've posted this question already on yahoo before, but I would like more feedback, so please any help is greatly appreciated.
